KiC Announcements for 10/22/2022

FUTURE OCTOBER DAY CAMPS

Reminder that school is closed this Thursday, Oct 27, and Friday, Oct 28, for Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Day Camp dates registration forms are available to sign-up for these, and other future dates, via our website. Scroll down to the Forms section of the webpage. Information about Day Camp dates is posted at the parent kiosk as well.

All of our schedule information is available on our Google Calendar.

PRORATED RATES

You’ll once again see a prorated tuition fee this week, billing for only 3 days due to those Parent-Teacher conference days on Thursday and Friday.

  • Additional fees will be applied for those participating in the Day Camps offered.

COLDER WEATHER

As the weather begins to turn colder, please ensure your students wear the appropriate coats and clothing for outdoor play. Temperatures can be unpredictable as cold fronts move in and the Sun is setting earlier. Daylight Saving ends soon, so the after school Sun will provide even less warmth. Being prepared is very important at this time of year.

PROCARE APP INVITES

I will be sending out another Procare App invite email for those new to our program and those that wish to download and use the app. If you do not wish to use the app, please disregard the invite. Don’t forget to check your spam folder for messages from notifications@procaremessagingservice.com if you are a parent within our programs and you are receiving this message via our blog or podcast and NOT from your email.

ACCOUNT STATEMENTS

The attachment that is sent to you each week is an Account Statement, rather than an invoice. Procare does not produce an invoice, it produces account statements. It may be a bit of semantics, but an invoice typically addresses a specific billing event. An account statement covers activity over a period of time. In our case, I try to have the account statement cover a one week period, typically Tuesday through Monday since I apply the weekly tuition over the weekend for the next week. Since a large number of you use the AutoPay option and your payment posts on Monday, this allows you to see the tuition and payment that will occur on your account statement.

This isn’t a perfect method since some transactions won’t be captured on the account statement that I produce. For instance, if you’re not on AutoPay and a payment is made online or at the kiosk on Monday, it won’t appear on the account statement I produce since I already captured Monday when sending out statements over the weekend. Repeating a day (ie. Monday through Monday of the next week) gets a bit confusing when reviewing your statement since the same activity will appear on two different statements. This sometimes happens when Monday is a holiday and the normal Monday transactions get pushed to Tuesday. I get several questions about duplicate charges when this happens, but again it is simply a timing issue regarding what is being displayed, not a duplicate charge situation.

In short, the best way to review your account activity to monitor your tuition charges and payments is through the myprocare.com portal. There, you can set whatever viewing timeframe that meets your needs. A Procare video (starts a timestamp 1:36) is available that provides a quick myprocare.com overview.
