The mission of Kids in Christ is to provide local families of school aged children with a Christian based child care program in a safe, well supervised, and loving environment by encouraging them through biblical stories, scripture, and prayer.

Week of July 13th

Wow - only 4 weeks of summer camp left - we cannot believe it! This week we will be discussing Jesus getting ready for the cross during our devotion time. On Monday, K-2 and additional 3rd-6th graders go to the outdoor pool. On Wednesday, the K-2 students will travel to the Magic House. We will have our water day on Thursday.

Week of July 6th

We cannot believe how fast summer is going - time flies when you're having fun!! This week we will be talking about the Prodigal Son. On Monday, K-2 (and some 3rd graders) will travel to the outdoor pool - finally!! On Wednesday, 3-6 grade students will go to Hi-Top Bowl. On Thursday, we will have a water day (weather permitting).

Week of June 29th

This week we will be talking about Daniel. On Monday, the K-2 group will travel to Mac's for their field trip, and the 3-6 group will go to the outdoor pool. Reminder that we will be closed on Friday for the holiday. This week will be extremely hot. PLEASE send your kiddos to camp with a refillable water bottle.

KIDS IN CHRIST SUMMER CAMP

We are excited about our Kids in Christ summer program! Kids in Christ hosts a Christian summer camp that takes place at Highland Hope UMC. The camp operates Monday – Friday from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Summer Camp is available to children going into Kindergarten through Grade 7. Because camp spaces are limited, enrollment is by invite only due to the high demand and limited space.

Our summer calendar quickly fills up with scheduled field trips and activities. We travel to local attractions such as the Lory Theater, Poplar Junction for bowling, Edison’s, and several other fun locations. Also, we swim each week by age group at Lindendale Park, weather permitting.

Children bring sack lunches with a drink (if they want something other than water). Also, we need to know of any allergies so we can plan appropriate snacks for all.

We are looking forward to a fun filled summer of Christian blessings!
