The mission of Kids in Christ is to provide local families of school aged children with a Christian based child care program in a safe, well supervised, and loving environment by encouraging them through biblical stories, scripture, and prayer.

Week of June 15th

Gearing up for another busy week. We will be discussing Moses this week. On Monday, 3rd-6th graders will go to the outdoor pool and K-2nd (and half of 3rd grade) will stay at the church for a water day. On Wednesday, we will all travel to the zoo. Thursday, all students will have a water day at the church.

Week of June 8th

We can't believe we are gearing up for Week 3 already. We will be discussing Joseph this week. We will have our first swim day this week for the K-2 & several 3rd graders (weather permitting). We are also planning our first water days at the church. Make sure students are bringing their sunscreen and towel. The 3rd-6th graders will have their field trip to the Museum of Illusions on Wednesday. Please make sure students have their lunch and are wearing socks and tennis sh

Week of June 1st

We survived week 1! We had so much fun playing, building, getting to know each other, and learning about Job. We are ready for week 2 - there will be no swimming this week. On Wednesday, June 3rd, K-2 will be traveling to Hi-Top. Make sure students are wearing socks and tennis shoes. Students will get their camp shirt Wednesday.

KIDS IN CHRIST SUMMER CAMP

We are excited about our Kids in Christ summer program! Kids in Christ hosts a Christian summer camp that takes place at Highland Hope UMC. The camp operates Monday – Friday from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Summer Camp is available to children going into Kindergarten through Grade 7. Because camp spaces are limited, enrollment is by invite only due to the high demand and limited space.

Our summer calendar quickly fills up with scheduled field trips and activities. We travel to local attractions such as the Lory Theater, Poplar Junction for bowling, Edison’s, and several other fun locations. Also, we swim each week by age group at Lindendale Park, weather permitting.

Children bring sack lunches with a drink (if they want something other than water). Also, we need to know of any allergies so we can plan appropriate snacks for all.

We are looking forward to a fun filled summer of Christian blessings!
