Check In/Out Notifications

I understand some, maybe all, are receiving emails regarding your child(ren) being checked into or out of Procare. I just spoke with Procare Support on why you are suddenly receiving these. Procare does have an option to notify parents when your child is signed into or out of care, but this is not currently enabled. However, a system update they just deployed has enabled this for a group of people. Possibly only those that are using the Procare app on your phone, but I'm not sure of that.

To explain what you are seeing:

Because we are not an actual daycare center, I have to manage Procare a little differently than how it was designed. In short, every day I have to process all of the AM students that were checked in that morning and release them out of Procare to the school. I then have to bring in all the PM students that are registered for after school care so they are checked into Procare and ready to be checked out by their parents (or authorized adults). If you send us notification of your child(ren)'s absence for the day, this is communicated to the team via Slack and I remove your child(ren) from Procare for the day. You are seeing the notifications resulting from this daily process.

Once Procare Support can determine why this notification was enabled, they will turn this off and you'll no longer receive these notifications. You might be able to look at the settings within the mobile app and toggle this option on/off to affect your own notifications, but I cannot make that change for you. Until Procare resolves this, we thank you for your patience and understanding.
