FUTURE NOVEMBER DAY CAMPS

This week is a short week for school. School will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, November 7 and 8, and then closed again Friday November 11 for Veterans Day. Hopefully you’ve already registered for Monday and Tuesday if that was your intent. Last minute registrations can create issues in terms of our planning factors, so thank you for being proactive with your registrations. If you haven’t yet registered for Friday’s Day Camp, you’ll find all 3 dates are listed on a single Day Camp registration form, so simply select only the dates you are needing when completing the form. Reminder that on full-day camp dates, which are held at the church, your students should arrive with their lunch, a water bottle, and any other items Ms. Shawna has requested.

Day Camp registration forms are available via our website to sign-up for future camp dates. The next Day Camp date is Wednesday, November 23. Kids in Christ will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday and Friday. Scroll down to the Forms section of our webpage for the registration links. Registration information about Day Camp dates is also posted at the parent kiosk as well.

All of our schedule information is available on our Google Calendar.

COLDER WEATHER

Although Friday was unseasonably warm, no doubt you’ve noticed that the weather has taken a sharp turn towards becoming colder, so please ensure your students wear the appropriate coats and warm clothing for outdoor play. Temperatures can be unpredictable throughout the day. Keep in mind that Daylight Saving ends this weekend, so the after school Sun will be setting much earlier.

NEXT WEEKEND’S STATEMENTS

Next weekend’s account statements may not include new announcements because I will be out of town. Being a retired military veteran, I have been invited by my nieces in Houston to attend their school’s Veterans Day program on Friday. To my fellow veterans, thank you for the service you performed in support of this great nation and your willingness to pay the ultimate sacrifice in her defense should she require it. It is not an oath to be taken lightly and one that should not end once the uniform has been taken off and stowed. May God continue to richly bless you, your families, and the United States of America.

DON'T FORGET TO VOTE

We encourage you to exercise your right and perform your civic duty by voting this Tuesday.
