Week 2 Announcements

Welcome to families that are new to Kids in Christ. We are excited to have you in the program.

SCHEDULE CHANGES

As expected, some families have tested their routines and schedules and determined a change was needed to their care schedule. A couple families have determined care was not necessary which allowed us to invite families from our wait list. As a reminder, a 2-week notice was agreed to when completing the registration form. That gives us time to coordinate and secure a replacement for that spot to minimize loss of revenue.

Our pricing model is similar to standard childcare businesses. Tuition is assessed based on the spot in the program, not your child’s attendance or participation level. Decisions on staffing, snacks, supplies, etc. are made based on the number of spots we offer. This practice allows us to keep your costs as low as possible. The greater risk we accept, the higher prices have to be to cover that risk. We appreciate your understanding and acceptance of your agreement.

WEBSITE

Our website, kidsinchrist.org, is a convenient location that captures all of our information in one spot.

On the website you’ll find

  • The Monthly Newsletter that provides a snapshot of relevant program information

  • Our Google Calendar with important schedule information

  • Our Twitter feed where we post timely announcements

  • Our Blog that typically mirrors our weekly announcements

  • Day Camp and Early Release sign-up forms

Be sure to add our website to your phone’s home screen for easy access and reference.

PROCARE

Unfortunately, the Procare app has not quite lived up to its advertised promise. The data sync isn’t as reliable as expected, meaning our team will continue to use the kiosk method you are used to. The app can still be used to check on your child’s information and (coming soon) make payments via the app. Procare’s Tuition Express has contacted me and will be enabling this feature very soon.

The kiosk will still be available for drop-off and pick-up. You’ll need your PIN and Password to check your student into care and to make payment at the kiosk. For the pick-up process, we are checking your student out ourselves once your ID has been checked via Procare’s “receptionist mode”. This gives us greater visibility of the adults authorized to pick-up your children and enhances our security measures. You’ll only need to log into the kiosk when picking up if you wish to make a debit/credit card payment at the kiosk. This should be much more convenient for grandma or grandpa, Aunt Jen or neighbor Bill, who is helping out.

CORRECTION

We somehow jotted down the wrong date for the Homecoming Parade and our early closing. The correct date is Wednesday, September 21. Kids in Christ will close at 4PM this day due to the parade and restricted access to the parking lot. This information is on our Google Calendar.
