Week 9 Summer Camp | 22-23 Latchkey

Welcome to the start of Week 9. It's hard to believe there are only 3 more weeks of Summer Camp.

The weekly newsletter is posted to our website: kidsinchrist.org

As we start thinking about the start of school and the latchkey program, please keep in mind there will not be care available Aug 15-16 (Monday-Tuesday) as the staff transitions toys, equipment, and makes other preparations necessary to shut down Summer Camp operations at the church and stand up Latchkey operations at the school.

Last week I mentioned a new messaging option was available. Since then, we learned we qualified for special pricing on Procare's new "Parent Engagement" features, which includes an app for your phone. Through this app, centers can provide better and more direct communications, share photos/videos, among other options. The app also integrates mobile payments, which should be a much better experience for those that have issues with myprocare.com via your mobile device. This is new and will take a little time to learn and setup, but be aware you may receive invites via email to download the app and begin using the features. I'm sure we'll experience some growing pains, but we'll work through them. I will provide more updates as we move through the implementation.

2022-23 Latchkey: Our latchkey program registration button has been removed from our webpage. We have reached capacity based on the number of staff we currently have on our team. You may see some advertisements around the interwebs as we continue to recruit and attract quality candidates for KiC. As we do, we will adjust our enrollment numbers as well. We will look to our Wait List first, so if you are not already registered please be sure to let Ms. Shawna know you wish to be added to the Wait List. We understand this will be a disappointment for some families, but we must operate in a responsible manner for everyone's safety.

Please invite anyone you know that might be interested in working with us to visit http://bit.ly/JoinKiC - we'd love to partner with them.

Highland Hope UMC will be showing The Wizard of Oz on Wednesday, July 27 at 6:30PM. This is a great opportunity to bring the kids and enjoy this classic movie. Some snacks will be available, but feel free to bring your favorite movie watching snacks as well.
